Performing Arts at Colour My World enable participants to link their own imaginations, thoughts and feelings with drama, singing, dance, speech practice and history in ways that give voice to the cultural diversity of Hong Kong. Drama permeates our everyday lives. It enables us to understand ourselves, the people around us and the world in which we live.

Musical Theatre
An action-packed workshop full of singing, dancing and acting using some of the best loved musicals of all time as performance material. Learn dance routines, act out scenes and sing along to a variety of hit songs derived from a variety of musical theatre genres. This workshop culminates in open performances where parents and friends are invited!

Acting & Drama
If you love performance and playwriting, these courses are for you! Catering for all ages in a variety of new workshops, playtext is explored, scripts are written, monologues and duologues are performed and age-appropriate technical training is undertaken for voice, body and acting. Participants will develop skills in improvisation, role-play and spontaneity, vocal and physical expression as well as projection and character development. These efforts culminate in a full-scale public performance which showcases in the spring as part of the Colour My World Youth Theatre Group.

Speech Communication Skills
Covering many aspects of vocal communication including debating, public speaking, interview technique and advertising, all will be actively explored whilst strengthening communicative confidence. Vocal quality, articulation and physical presence will be covered as appropriate for each genre of communication. Reading, performing and presenting will be weekly workshop features and the chance to enter Trinity Speech examinations is given towards the end of the year.

Jazz / Hip Hop
Participants will develop motifs and variations which will be incorporated into choreography. Learn about dance devises, posture, movements, coordination, formations and pathways. They will work solo, in pairs and groups to create fully choreographed dance performances to music.

Voice & Music
Voice & Music allows participants to explore singing as a performance art, focusing on building good vocal technique and musical awareness through a series of exercises and activities. They will learn how to use these skills in the context of songs. Participants aged 10 yrs + will learn about legato singing, diaphragm control, diction and the physiology of singing through a range of songs in unison and harmony. This workshop is ideal for those with previous musical experience or knowledge. Pls enquire separately for fees and timetable.
